Liquids Only
For a child who will only accept liquids, a
supplemental drink
such as Pediasure or Boost Kids Essentials can lay the foundation and ensure you child is getting the necessary nutrition. These drinks have a balanced amount of fat, protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
If you would like to supply your child with a more natural form of nutrition, fruit can be juiced or a shake can be made out of milk or soy milk mixed with fruit and vegetable juice and protein powder. For a list of high calorie, high protein shake recipes,

Below is a list from each food group that can be made into a fluid. Most of these children still need supplemental drinks to supply most of their calories and nutrition however the list below can be used to provide variety.
Foods to Liquify
FRUIT: (Can use whole fruit or use 100% fruit juice), oranges, apples, bananas, peaches, pears, grapes
VEGETABLES: (Can use whole vegetables or buy 100% Vegetable juice), carrots, spinach, kale, tomato, green beans
STARCHES:
Most starches such as potatoes and pasta are thick and work as effective thickeners; however for the child with sensory issues who will only accept thin liquids starches are not appropriate.
MEAT:
It is difficult to make meat drinkable, which is why drinks high in protein such as milk, soy milk or Pediasure are encouraged.
DAIRY:
Ice cream shake, milk, drinkable yogurt
This consistency is also easy to
calorie boost.
Just add small amounts of fat or powder to add calories.
